This year I have been focusing on the kids, getting them to where they need to be, working on home projects, working on myself (physically..literally working my butt off!), and getting to some crafting! That all explains why I haven’t been here a lot, plus to be honest some days I can’t focus enough to write my thoughts, gather pics, edit, and all that! I am much more active on my Facebook and Instagram pages if you want to follow me!

I love to make things, but having the time to learn new stuff has not be readily available. I bought a Brother Scan N Cut (will talk about that later)last year, and have only used a few times to work on posters for school projects and label a tote.

I redid the panty, so I made my own glitter labels for baking items! Now..I’m hooked on making more stuff.

I have a list of things I want to try:

1. Iron On (well I did a small project Advent calendar) shirts and aprons.

2. Ornaments..ceramic flat and curved plastic ball type.

3. Journal Covers

4. Canvas Prints

5. Signs for Christmas and otherwise.

This was made with a file available at Apex Embroidery.

I’m very new to this, but a couple things that have helped me out is Inkscape (tons of fonts and great for making images into .svg files to import in the Brother software).

My new favorite site,  Cuttable Designs by Apex Embroidery (where I got the file to make the Believe sign above). They have two sites…one that does embroidery files and one for cuttable ones. Each day they have freebie files, and their files are  good priced in general. What I love even more is that you don’t have to pay extra for commercial use..just don’t try to sell their images!
