Honeysuckle Finds located at 116 Plum Street in Newburgh, IN sells repurposed, vintage, and new items. Hours of operations are 10am-5pm Wednesday-Saturday (Closed Sunday-Tuesday). There are new items added often, and special orders are available as well.
There were a couple things needed:
1. Small Writing Desk. The daughter (9 year old) wanted a small desk in her room for drawing. I was having trouble finding something small, and was leaning towards find a box and building a top and adding legs. The need for a box was how I got Honeysuckle Finds. I follow her shop on Facebook, and she had old Double Cola wood cases, which I wanted a better look at.
2. Nightstands/Side Table. We are finally finishing up our bedroom project by getting new carpet and a new bedroom suite. I didn’t like the night stand options for the suite we are buying, so I was looking for a small table with a drawer.
We explored the multiple rooms full of furniture and decorative items, and found exactly what we needed! It wasn’t what I planned, but I love it.
The boxes were smaller than I had pictured in my head. I still like them, but not for this project.
We found this awesome Gossip Chair with shelf that has already been reupholstered and painted. My daughter loved it just like it was…bonus! We decided this will be her desk, and at $52.50 I couldn’t pass it up!!
Then in another room where these matching side tables! One has a scratch in the side, but there is still a possibility of repainting in the future. I will see when the furniture comes in. How could I pass up a pair of tables for $69?
Then one impulse piece, and I had to make myself leave! It already was going to be two trips to get everything home as it was on that hot day! This chair..oh my!! I love the orange, the shape, and the storage. This is my new desk chair for in the living room! I thought it was a great deal at $39.50!
I found the store and the owner to be very inviting and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable, and the stock is frequently updated. I do suggest following on Facebook to see the new items, because things sell fast.
