My kids love Christmas (I think all kids do!). We started doing LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendars with my son years ago. Then his sister came and it got much more difficult finding a girl one. I have found My Little Pony and Play Mobil ones. Now that they Lego Friends it is so much easier. They both love to be able to build something each day, and of course love the mini figures!
There is also a LEGO City Advent Calendar

LEGO Friends and City are both sold out on LEGO site. Amazon has the LEGO Friends 41016 Advent Calendar
as well, but can get pretty pricy. Walmartsite says out of stock as well, but it doesn’t hurt to keep checking or look in store. I am sure Ebay has them as well. I order as soon as they are on the site usually October.
If none of these work go to Pinterest and look for easy Advent calendars ideas. One I really liked with paper bags is at Pretty Providence.
The new tradition we are trying out this year is Elf on the Shelf. From what I understand this Elf is sent by Santa to keep an eye on the kids and send daily reports, and they seem to be mischievous little guys as well. I have a whole board on Pinterest of ideas to do with your Elf.
My goal this December is to be a little festive each day. We have the calendars, the Elf, and then thought of crafts, sweet treats, stories, etc. Just a way to make the season special and not just one day of gifts.
